3 Ways to Submit an Anonymous Tip
For immediate police response to ongoing or violent crimes, call 911.
Crimes of the Week
You will stay anonymous.
You never have to worry about someone finding out you've provided a tip to Crime Solvers. You will not provide your name when submitting a tip. We don't use caller ID. As a nonprofit, our records are not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Virginia law protects information provided to us and makes it illegal for your identity to be released, which we won't have anyway.
You will not need to appear in court.
Because you stay anonymous when you submit a tip, you can never be required to appear in court. Your tip focuses law enforcement in the right direction. It is up to them to solve the case, make the arrest, and appear in court.
You will earn cash rewards.
If your anonymous tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, with more serious crimes having higher rewards. Additional factors in determining the amount of your reward are the number of crimes committed, guns and drugs ceased, and property recovered. You will be notified through the P3 Tip Program about your reward, or you can call the tipline.
