Crime: Fraud 2019036035
On 9/30/19, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a male entered a hardware store on Laskin Rd. and claimed that he had purchased items but had forgotten them and left the store. The male stated that he did not have a receipt because it was packed away in preparation for a trip. The male created a scene when the manager said she could not locate a transaction that matched the claims. The manager became distracted and gave the male $369.98 in cash. Since the event, the manager has been unable to locate any transaction to match.
Suspect is described as a white male, late 40’s–early 50’s, approximately 6 feet, 220 pounds. He was balding but had some dark hair. The suspect left the scene in a new model, black Chevrolet Silverado pickup, crew cab, bed appearing to have a tonneau cover, license 822-6884. Tag search was negative.
