Crime: Arson 2024014243

On 3/17/24 at approximately 12:30 a.m., a table and chairs were found to be on fire on the front patio of Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, 600 Atlantic Ave.

An unknown black male wearing a black hoodie, with rib cage and a heart printed on the front of the shirt, red shoes, black pants, and white T-shirt under the hoodie, was seen on security footage smoking and then using the torch/lighter to set fire to the table and walking away. A bystander put the fire out, and several minutes later, the same black male sat down again, smoked, and used the same blue-and-white torch/lighter to set the table on fire again.

A second subject, in a black hoodie with a smiley face in the photo, was with the suspect prior to the fire but departed prior to the crime. He might have knowledge of the suspect’s identity.

VBFD Fire Investigators are looking for help identifying both subjects.
