Crime: Larceny / Attempted Credit Card Fraud 2023029608

On 5/26/23, Suspect was a patron at Starbucks, 465 Investors Place. The victim was studying at that location and forgot her purse on the back of a chair on the patio. The suspect, while leaving with 2 unknown males, is shown on camera returning to the table 3 times before taking the purse. The same suspect immediately proceeded to the Apple Store at Lynnhaven Mall and attempted to purchase $2,000 in gift cards with the victim’s credit card which was declined. The suspect then attempted a $1,000 purchase of gift cards which was also declined due to the victim receiving fraud notices from Amex. The suspect left the store on foot.
Suspect: u/f, medium build, wearing distressed jeans, Boston hat with green brim, and multi-colored jacket.
