Crime: Unidentified Human Skeleton
Unidentified Human Skeleton
On Tuesday, April 18, 1995, fishermen discovered bones in a creek near the Owls Creek Golf Course. The area the fisherman had been fishing is a secluded area. Virginia Beach Investigators responded and summoned the help of the State Medical Examiner who determined the bones to be human. A thorough search of the area revealed several more bones that were partially hidden by vegetation and water. The skeleton was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. An Old Dominion University botanist assisted in attempting to determine how long the skeleton had been in the area by examining the age of the surrounding plant life.
The identity of the skeleton is still unknown.
